What is the Mobile Clinic?
The AU/UGA Medical Partnership Mobile/Athens Free Clinic provides free general healthcare to underserved communities in and around the Athens area. The Mobile Clinic is a 100% volunteer-based initiative maintained by doctors, residents, medical students and undergraduates dedicated to the mission of improving access to health care and improving health literacy of uninsured populations in Northeast Georgia.
The Mobile Clinic is looking to recruit a team of dedicated undergraduate volunteers to assist in clinic functions. The primary role of volunteers is patient registration and documentation. More details can be found below!
When? Where? and How often?
Volunteers should expect to volunteer twice a month on either Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons. There will also be some opportunities to volunteer on a Monday evening. Location will vary!
Check back periodically for how to get involved!
